Hi, I’m Maite, and I love bringing STEAM to life for young readers, writing stories that untap the wonder hidden in the world around us. Through my stories, I invite children to look a little closer, ask big questions, and discover that science is full of magic waiting to be explored.

I’m an educator at heart, and my passion for learning and design has shaped my work with nonprofits, publishing houses, edtech companies, and universities. I was born and raised in Costa Rica, and my journey has taken me across vibrant cities like Atlanta, New York City, Austin, and Miami. At the core of everything I do is a simple goal: to spark curiosity, imagination, and help every child see themselves as an explorer.
